Spirit Release

The Spirit Release Foundation is an organisation made up of medical and complementary practitioners as well as those with a general interest in spirit release. It presents workshops, offers training courses, publishes a newsletter and maintains a website. It supports practitioners and is a source of information to the public. The SRF holds an annual conference bringing together high calibre speakers from both the UK and abroad. The Foundation also acts as a forum for those working with spirit release within their therapeutic practices, providing support and a wider understanding of this subject.

Acupuncture

The British Acupuncture Council is the largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK. The BAcC protects the public and its members alike by guaranteeing training standards, safe practice and accountability. It is committed to carrying the spirit and integrity of ttraditional acupuncture forward into the twenty-first century. Under the research section of the site there is a selection of briefing papers providing evidence of the effectiveness of acupuncture when treating certain conditions.

SOFEA Acupuncture, formerly the School of Five Element Acupuncture, now offers post-qualification training in the practise of five element acupuncture. The website contains further information about the elements, a bookshop and links to other five element acupuncture organisations worldwide.

Counselling and Psychotherapy

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy(BACP) is the main professional body. Their website contains details of ethical standards, therapists and training.

BAPCA, the British Association for the Person-Centred Approach promotes and supports in the UK the person-centred approach to therapy as pioneered by Carl Rogers. This approach not only underlies most therapies, it also applies to any area where people are in relationships. It contains a list of practitioners who work in this way.
